Presented by the MCB's Professionalism, Lawyer Life & Culture Committee

In Mecklenburg County, an increasing number of attorneys are bravely hanging up their own shingle as positions for new attorneys at large firms and legal departments become more elusive. The prospect of setting up your own firm, whether you are a brand new attorney or branching out on your own after years working with others, can be very daunting. This roundtable discussion will focus on ways to generate the support solo attorneys need when establishing a solo practice and provide practical tips and tricks of the trade.

Joining us for this discussion will be F. Lane Williamson of Tin Fulton Walker & Owen, PLLC; Jason A. McGrath of McGrath & Spielberger, PLLC; Fred W. DeVore III of DeVore, Acton & Stafford, P.A; and Frederick R. Benson of the Clerk of Superior Court’s Office. Come share your stories and learn from those who have “been there and done that.”
