The MCB invited all Clerk of Superior Court candidates who will appear on the November ballot in Mecklenburg County to submit biographical information, a candidate statement and photo to be posted.

Nominations Sought for Ayscue Professionalism Award
The MBF is accepting nominations for the Ayscue Professionalism Award. Entries should include a letter of nomination as well as the nominee’s bio and/or resume. Nominations are due on or before Fri., Oct. 17, 2014.

2015 Bar Leadership Institute Application
The BLI provides an opportunity to develop your personal leadership potential, become aware of leadership opportunities, consider pressing issues with peers and develop a spirit of lasting collegiality with their fellow participants. Application due Oct. 31

Seeking Linking Lawyers Mentors and Mentees for 2014-15
The MCB mentoring program Linking Lawyers is seeking volunteer mentors and mentees to participate in its 2014-15 class. Linking Lawyers is designed to be a resource for networking and guidance on issues of professional conduct and career perspective, as well as to provide an introduction into diverse areas of the law.

Nominations Sought for Diversity Champion Award
Nominations are being sought for the MCB Julius L. Chambers Diversity Champion Award to recognize an individual who embodies high ethical standards, unquestioned integrity, consistent competence, and who champions diversity in the legal profession. Nomination deadline: Oct. 31, 2014
