The NC Legislature recently enacted House Bill 972 that governs access to police dash and body cameras. 
This session will review the following:  
Does this new law change the way police disclose and release dash and body worn camera video? 
What are the policy and legal concerns that that have arisen since this new law went into effect? 
Does the law adequately address questions concerning the right to privacy, the chain of custody in a criminal case, and the public's desire to understand police procedures?
