Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When is the CLE deadline?
A: February 28 of your CLE reporting period.
Q: Will the Mecklenburg Bar Association report my CLE hours?
A: Yes. The MBA will report your CLE credit hours within 30 days of the live program, or at the beginning of each month for on-demand programs.
Q. I completed an on-demand CLE, why aren't my credits aren't showing up in my NC Bar Portal?
A. We batch and report all on-demand CLE monthly. Programs completed in February will be submitted in early March. You will still be considered in compliance as long as your program was completed by 11:59 p.m. on February 28.
If you completed the program on January 31 or earlier and your credit is not showing up, email clestaff@meckbar.org and allow at least 1 business day for a response.
Note: We do not submit on-demand CLE for credit in South Carolina.
Q. I completed a live CLE (in person or webinar) hosted by the MBA. Why aren't my credits showing up (for NC and SC)?
A. All MBA CLEs have been reported to both NC & SC as of March 1, 2026. Both states may be behind in updating credits to your individual records. Should you need a Certificate of Credit for a CLE completed with the MBA, visit your My CLE Page. If completed credits are not showing up on that page, email clestaff@meckbar.org. Please note: MBA CLE Staff do not have access to or submit credits for programs taken with other organizations.
Q. Why am I not receiving the MBA Member Rate when registering for a CLE?
A. It is likely that you are a member of the (mandatory) 26th Judicial District Bar, but not the (voluntary) Mecklenburg Bar Association. All CLE discounts fall under MBA Membership. To check your membership status or to join the MBA, click here.
Q. I need a Certificate of Credit for a CLE that I completed with the MBA (in person, webinar, or on-demand). How do I see that?
A. View all of your MBA CLE Certificates by visiting your My CLE Page.
